Purple Wine Sangria
Serves
Elements:
1 apple, diced
1 orange, halved and sliced into ¼-inch half moons
¼ cup brandy OR RUM
½ cup orange liquor (Cointreau, Triple Sec)
1 750ml bottle fruity pink wine (Rioja, Garnacha, Malbec, Merlot)
1 to 2 ounces easy syrup
soda water, optionally available
blackberries, optionally available
Instructions:
1. Place the apple and orange within the backside of a giant pitcher and stir and smash the fruit calmly with a picket spoon.
2. Add the brandy and orange liquor and stir. Add the pink wine, stir after which let the combination sit within the fridge for not less than 4 hours and even longer.
3. Style the combination and sweeten with easy syrup if desired. (To make a easy syrup, mix ½ cup water and ½ cup sugar in a saucepan. Simmer on the stovetop till the sugar has fully dissolved after which cool. Retailer in your fridge.)
4. When you find yourself able to serve, pour the sangria over ice cubes in massive wine glasses, spooning a few of the fruit into every glass. Prime with somewhat soda water if desired.
